Thursdays will be a SUPER DUPER extension of the theme with a list of 10 things I'm thankful for. Gratuity is going to be oozing from this blog!
1. We've had some cold morning and evenings over the past couple of weeks. Enough so that there have been a few times we've "needed" to turn on the heat. I'm thankful for the creature comforts of a furnace, warm blankets & warm clothes (like favorite sweatshirts.)
2. We're reading To Kill a Mockingbird in my book club. This is the third possibly fourth time I've read it. The first time I read it, I was in middle school. It became an instant favorite of mine. Reading through it as a thirtysomething has been enlightening. So much I had forgotten, so much that I'm sure I was unable to understand when I was younger. I'm thankful that I live in this post Martin Luther King, Jr. era. Human nature is very ugly and I would like to think that I would have been more Atticus Finch than Bob Ewell.
3. I made myself an ooey, gooey grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. (Which, by the way, was at 3 pm. Because it's been kind of a crappy day.) I have mad love for cheese. Cheese is full of win and I am thankful for it.
4. Yes, today has been somewhat of a crappy day due some drama that I really did not intend to incite but happened away. THANKFULLY we are not low on chocolate right now due to the recent candy explosion that is known as Halloween. I love Halloween.
5. Skype is a great place to be able to vent about having a crappy day. Especially when you're in a chat room with the best people in the world. I'm thankful for Skype and the people who are there. Much longer post dedicated to them at a later time. (And I'll now stop talking about my crappy day.)
Also thankful for...
6. Reusable shopping bags
7. Red cups at Starbucks
8. GPS on my phone
9. Oven timers
10. My new headset with microphone
