Thankful for friends who work at a dentist office

We have been without a dentist for, well, too long. When I got my job, I knew that I would get myself and the kids back to seeing a dentist on a regular basis. I knew which dentist office that I would contact, I just hadn't done it yet. You may remember that I'm somewhat of a procrastinator.

So, when my daughter started to complain of some tooth pain due to a baby molar that had cracked and only part of the tooth had fallen out, we needed to quickly get her in to see someone. I debated calling the old dentist but in the end decided to see what would happen if I called this other place.

I know a couple of the women who work in the office. When I got on the phone with one, I identified myself and told her what the issue was. She immediately suggested that I go and get my daughter out of school, bring her into the office and they would see her right away. I hemmed and hawed a bit thinking I didn't really want to get her out of school but in the end, if we didn't do it today, she would have to wait until next week. That, and my sweet friend would not take no for answer. (Love her!)

Long story short, I picked up my daughter, took her to the office and just as my friend said, they took her back right away. A look at her tooth situation and some numbing gel later, we're walking out of the office with the partial tooth in a cute, purple keepsake box. And there's an appointment made for cleanings for both the kids in the near future.
