Weekly Winners: Where Has The Month Gone?

We're over half way through the month and I feel like I've not take very many pictures. Truth is, I've taken many, many pictures, they've just all been event driven. Last weekend, we went to the annual Oktoberfest in the historic Germantown district of Nashville and my daughter's Girl Scout troop went to the local botanical garden, Cheekwood, to see the Chihuly exhibit. Both events yielded lots and lots of pictures.

Earlier this week, I went on a look-see excursion to the Opryland Hotel with Barbara Jones, Alli Worthington and Amy Halleran to look at the meeting space we'll be utilizing for BlissDom '11. From there we went to a blogger event hosted by the fine folks of Windex at a local pottery painting shoppe, Brushfire Pottery Studio. Again, lots of photos from that day.

Yesterday, our family did our yearly visit to our very favorite local pumpkin patch, Gentry Farm, in Franklin. When we arrived, I thought, "Well, I'm not sure what I'm going to take pictures of this year, I seem to take the same exact pictures every year". One hundred photos later...

My weekly winners is a sampling of photos from each of those events.

  4. Those sculptures are really fantastic! I remember seeing one very similar hanging as a chandelier in the restaurant of an art museum that I worked at. It looked cool then and your shots look very cool now as well.

I'd love to attend Blissdom '11 - where can I find out more info?
